I deeply connect to the City by the Bay and Ocean Beach. Many years ago, I took a leap of faith to pursue an art degree from the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and several years ago built up the courage to paddle out at the Ocean Beach on my 5’9” board.

Since I started to paint waves, I surf less but spend more time at the ocean - learning the movement of the water, breaks, and patterns and planning my new paintings. A journey, as a fluid force, will always transform and change. Every time I finish a seascape, I have the urge to get out on the water, between waves, blending in with nature in a moment of life - to return to the shore with inspiration for my new painting.
